Chris Sickels,also known as Red Nose Studio,is one of my favorite illustrators.He was trained as a painter,but he's a self-taught sculptor!He makes his 3D characters and environment using a multitude of materials,and then he takes photos of that world.You can check his personal site to see more of his amazing work here:
