A pair of shoes against my ideology

I don't see anything bad in this, you would say.But I have a different opinion.I was always against people who buy expensive stuff while other people in the world are hungry.I mean why do we need an one-thousand-euro bag just to carry our stuff with us when there are bags in the market for only five euros? Both I find that stupid. Both of them are doing their job. They carry our stuff.Well, you would say that's not the same. The expensive one gives us prestige and pumps up our image. We seem to scream to others "Look at me,I'm wearing Prada!"So,what? How do you feel now?Is your lifetime dream fulfilled?Do you really feel like a better person now that others admire you?Have you ever just thought that with this money a hole village in Africa could be fed for months?
All that introduction is to make you understand how guilty I feel about my new purchase. You possibly think "calm down yourself DcMartens don't cost that much!"As I refer above it's too much for me."Then, you should have thought it before you buy them you capitalist bastard!"you could say.And you would be right.I thought it before I bought them though. But these thoughts didn't stop me from buying them.I'm human I make mistakes.Even though I feel guilty about it and when my friends say to me "wow, awsome shoes!how much did you pay for them?" I'm pretending that I didn't hear them,I'VE NOT REGRET BUYING THEM!Because I LOVE my new shoes and I haven't take them off my feet since I bought them! This means that you're going to see them often in my outfit posts. You think I'm a paranoid or something so far?I'm not sure I'm not actually.Read this and you will get a better I idea:I'll tell you a secret.I have also gave them names. They're called Lakis and Paschalis and they're my lucky and my happy boot.Ok,I think I'm enough embarassed for today...

You know what? You shouldn't feel guilty, because Doc Martens are known to make some of the most durable shoes money can buy. So instead of buying several cheap pairs over the years, you get to have one pair you really love and that will last you a lifetime.

Happy new year!

Those boots are amazing, as is your drawing of them and the fact that you named each. Haha. Lots of amazingness present in this post! Gosh, I'm the same way when it comes to shopping and spending money. When I hear someone bragging about buying something expensive, I never can wrap my head around the idea that it's something to be proud of. But, when you're a thrifty person, I think you earn a little splurge now and again. Plus, like lopi said, those Docs will last! Enjoy your new shoes! :)
